kardia->; inasmuch <3745-hosos-> as both <5037-te-> in my bonds

your <5216-humon-> love <0026-agape-> may abound <4052-perisseuo-

knowledge <1922-epignosis-> and [in] all <3956-pas-> judgment

10 That ye may approve <1381-dokimazo-> things that are

excellent <1308-diaphero->; that ye may be sincere <1506-

12. But I would ye should understand <1097-ginosko->, brethren

<0080-adephos->, that the things [which happened] unto me have

fallen <2064-erchomai-> out rather <3123-mallon-> unto the

furtherance <4297-prokope-> of the gospel <2098-euaggelion->;

13 So <5620-hoste-> that my bonds <1199-desmon-> in Christ

<5547-Christos-> are manifest <5318-phaneros-> in all <3650-

holos-> the palace <4232-praitorion->, and in all <3956-pas->

other <3062-loipoy-> [places];

14 And many <4119-pleion-> of the brethren <0080-adephos-> in

the Lord <2962-kurios->, waxing <3982-peitho-> confident <3982-

peitho-> by my bonds <1199-desmon->, are much <4056-perissoteros-

> more <4056-perissoteros-> bold <5111-tolmao-> to speak <2980-

15 Some <5100-tis-> indeed <3303-men-> preach <2784-kerusso->

Christ <5547-Christos-> even <2532-kai-> of envy <5355-phthonos-

> and strife <2054-eris->; and some <5100-tis-> also <2532-kai->

of good <2107-eudokia-> will <2107-eudokia->:

16 The one <3303-men-> preach <2605-kataggello-> Christ <5547-

Christos-> of contention <2052-eritheia->, not sincerely <0055-

hagnos->, supposing <3633-oiomai-> to add <2018-epiphero->

affliction <2347-thlipsis-> to my bonds <1199-desmon->:

17 But the other of love <0026-agape->, knowing <1492-eido->

that I am set <2749-keimai-> for the defence <0627-apologia-> of

the gospel <2098-euaggelion->.

18 What <5101-tis-> then <1063-gar->? notwithstanding <4133-

plen->, every <3956-pas-> way <5158-tropos->, whether <1535-eite-

> in pretence <4392-prophasis->, or <1535-eite-> in truth <0226-

aletheuo->, Christ <5547-Christos-> is preached <2605-kataggello-

>; and I therein <5129-toutoi-> do rejoice <5463-chairo->, yea

<0235-alla->, and will rejoice <5463-chairo->.

19 For I know <1492-eido-> that this <5124-touto-> shall turn

<0576-apobaino-> to my salvation <4991-soteria-> through <1223-

dia-> your <5216-humon-> prayer <1162-deesis->, and the supply

<2024-epichoregia-> of the Spirit <4151-pneuma-> of Jesus <2424-

Iesous-> Christ <5547-Christos->,

20 According <2596-kata-> to my earnest <0603-apokaradokia->

expectation <0603-apokaradokia-> and [my] hope <1680-elpis->,

that in nothing <3762-oudeis-> I shall be ashamed <0153-

aischunomai->, but [that] with all <3956-pas-> boldness <3954-

parrhesia->, as always <3842-pantote->, [so] now <3568-nun->

also <2532-kai-> Christ <5547-Christos-> shall be magnified

<3170-megaluno-> in my body <4983-soma->, whether <1535-eite->

[it be] by life <2222-zoe->, or <1535-eite-> by death <2288-

thanatos->.

21. For to me to live <2198-zao-> [is] Christ <5547-Christos->,

and to die <0599-apothnesko-> [is] gain <2771-kerdos->.

22 But if <1487-ei-> I live <2198-zao-> in the flesh <4561-sarx-

>, this <5124-touto-> [is] the fruit <2590-karpos-> of my labour

<2041-ergon->: yet <2532-kai-> what <5101-tis-> I shall choose

<0138-haireomai-> I wot <1107-gnorizo-> not.

23 For I am in a strait <4912-sunecho-> betwixt <1537-ek-> two

<1417-duo->, having <2192-echo-> a desire <1939-epithumia-> to

depart <0360-analuo->, and to be with Christ <5547-Christos->;

which is far <3123-mallon-> better <2909-kreitton->:

24 Nevertheless <1161-de-> to abide <1961-epimeno-> in the

flesh <4561-sarx-> [is] more <0316-anagkaios-> needful <0316-

anagkaios-> for you.

25 And having this <5124-touto-> confidence <3982-peitho->, I

know <1492-eido-> that I shall abide <3306-meno-> and continue

<4839-sumparameno-> with you all <3956-pas-> for your <5216-

humon-> furtherance <4297-prokope-> and joy <5479-chara-> of

faith <4102-pistis->;

26 That your <5216-humon-> rejoicing <2745-kauchema-> may be

more abundant <4052-perisseuo-> in Jesus <2424-Iesous-> Christ

<5547-Christos-> for me by my coming <3952-parousia-> to you

again <3825-palin->.

27. Only <3440-monon-> let your conversation <4176-politeuomai-

> be as it becometh <0516-axios-> the gospel <2098-euaggelion->

of Christ <5547-Christos->: that whether <1535-eite-> I come

<2064-erchomai-> and see <1492-eido-> you, or <1535-eite-> else

be absent <0548-apeimi->, I may hear <0191-akouo-> of your <5216-

humon-> affairs <4012-peri->, that ye stand <4739-steko-> fast

28 And in nothing <3367-medeis-> terrified <4426-pturo-> by

hostis-> is to them an evident <1732-endeixis-> token <1732-

endeixis-> of perdition <0684-apoleia->, but to you of salvation

29 For unto you it is given <5483-charizomai-> in the behalf

<5228-huper-> of Christ <5547-Christos->, not only <3440-monon->

to believe <4100-pisteuo-> on <1519-eis-> him, but also <2532-

kai-> to suffer <3958-pascho-> for his sake;

30 Having <2192-echo-> the same <0846-autos-> conflict <0073-

agon-> which <3634-hoios-> ye saw <1492-eido-> in me, and now

Philippians 2

1. If <1487-ei-> [there be] therefore <3767-oun-> any <1536-ei

tis-> consolation <3874-paraklesis-> in Christ <5547-Christos->,

if <1487-ei-> any <1536-ei tis-> comfort <3890-paramuthion-> of

love <0026-agape->, if <1487-ei-> any <1536-ei tis-> fellowship

<2842-koinonia-> of the Spirit <4151-pneuma->, if <1487-ei-> any

<1536-ei tis-> bowels <4698-splagchnon-> and mercies <3628-

oiktirmos->,

2 Fulfil <4137-pleroo-> ye my joy <5479-chara->, that ye be

likeminded <5426-phroneo->, having <2192-echo-> the same love

<0026-agape->, [being] of one <4861-sumpsuchos-> accord <4861-

sumpsuchos->, of one <1520-heis-> mind <5426-phroneo->.

3 [Let] nothing <3367-medeis-> [be done] through <2596-kata->

strife <2052-eritheia-> or <2228-e-> vainglory <2754-kenodoxia->;

but in lowliness <5012-tapeinophrosune-> of mind <5012-

tapeinophrosune-> let each <0240-allelon-> esteem <2233-hegeomai-

> other <0240-allelon-> better <5242-huperecho-> than themselves

4 Look <4648-skopeo-> not every <1538-hekastos-> man on his own

<1438-heautou-> things, but every <1538-hekastos-> man also

<2532-kai-> on the things of others <2087-heteros->.

5 Let this <5124-touto-> mind <5426-phroneo-> be in you, which

<3739-hos-> was also <2532-kai-> in Christ <5547-Christos->

Jesus <2424-Iesous->:

6 Who, being <5225-huparcho-> in the form <3444-morphe-> of God

<2316-theos->, thought <2233-hegeomai-> it not robbery <0725-

harpagmos-> to be equal <2470-isos-> with God <2316-theos->:

7 But made <1096-ginomai-> himself <1438-heautou-> of no <5013-

tapeinoo-> reputation <2758-kenoo->, and took <2983-lambano->

upon him the form <3444-morphe-> of a servant <1401-doulos->,

and was made <1096-ginomai-> in the likeness <3667-homoioma-> of

men <0444-anthropos->:

8 And being found <2147-heurisko-> in fashion <4976-schema-> as

a man <0444-anthropos->, he humbled <5013-tapeinoo-> himself

<1438-heautou->, and became <1096-ginomai-> obedient <5255-

hupekoos-> unto death <2288-thanatos->, even <1161-de-> the

9 Wherefore <1352-dio-> God <2316-theos-> also <2532-kai-> hath

highly <5251-huperupsoo-> exalted <5251-huperupsoo-> him, and

10 That at <1722-en-> the name <3686-onoma-> of Jesus <2424-

Iesous-> every <3596-hodoiporeo-> knee <1119-gonu-> should bow

<2578-kampto->, of [things] in heaven <2032-epouranios->, and

[things] in earth <1919-epigeios->, and [things] under <2709-

katachthonios-> the earth <2709-katachthonios->;

11 And [that] every <3596-hodoiporeo-> tongue <1100-glossa->

should confess <1843-exomologeo-> that Jesus <2424-Iesous->

Christ <5547-Christos-> [is] Lord <2962-kurios->, to the glory

<1391-doxa-> of God <2316-theos-> the Father <3962-pater->.

12. Wherefore <5620-hoste->, my beloved <0027-agapetos->, as ye

have always <3842-pantote-> obeyed <5219-hupakouo->, not as in

my presence <3952-parousia-> only <3440-monon->, but now <3568-

nun-> much <4183-polus-> more <3123-mallon-> in my absence <0666-

apousia->, work <2716-katergazomai-> out your <1438-heautou->

own <1438-heautou-> salvation <4991-soteria-> with fear <5401-

phobos-> and trembling <5156-tromos->.

13 For it is God <2316-theos-> which <3588-ho-> worketh <1754-

energeo-> in you both <2532-kai-> to will <2309-thelo-> and to

do <1754-energeo-> of [his] good pleasure <2107-eudokia->.

14. Do <4160-poieo-> all <3956-pas-> things without <5565-

choris-> murmurings <1112-goggusmos-> and disputings <1261-

dialogismos->:

15 That ye may be blameless <0273-amemptos-> and harmless <0185-

akeraios->, the sons <5043-teknon-> of God <2316-theos->,

without <0298-amometos-> rebuke <0298-amometos->, in the midst

<3319-mesos-> of a crooked <4646-skolios-> and perverse <1294-

diastrepho-> nation <1074-genea->, among <1722-en-> whom <3739-

hos-> ye shine <5316-phaino-> as lights <5458-phoster-> in the

world <2889-kosmos->;

16 Holding <1907-epecho-> forth <1907-epecho-> the word <3056-

logos-> of life <2222-zoe->; that I may rejoice <2745-kauchema->

in the day <2250-hemera-> of Christ <5547-Christos->, that I

have not run <5143-trecho-> in vain <2756-kenos->, neither <3761-

oude-> laboured <2872-kopiao-> in vain <2756-kenos->.

17 Yea <0235-alla->, and if <1487-ei-> I be offered <4689-

spendo-> upon the sacrifice <2378-thusia-> and service <3009-

leitourgia-> of your <5216-humon-> faith <4102-pistis->, I joy

<5463-chairo->, and rejoice <4796-sugchairo-> with you all <3956-

pas->.

18 For the same <0846-autos-> cause <0846-autos-> also <2532-

kai-> do ye joy <5463-chairo->, and rejoice <4796-sugchairo->

with me.

19 But I trust <1679-elpizo-> in the Lord <2962-kurios-> Jesus

<2424-Iesous-> to send <3992-pempo-> Timotheus <5095-Timotheos->

shortly <5030-tacheos-> unto you, that I also <2504-kago-> may

be of good comfort <2174-eupsucheo->, when I know <1097-ginosko-

> your <5216-humon-> state <4012-peri->.

20 For I have <2192-echo-> no <3762-oudeis-> man <3762-oudeis->

likeminded <2473-isopsuchos->, who <3748-hostis-> will naturally

<1103-gnesios-> care <3309-merimnao-> for your <5216-humon->

state <4012-peri->.

21 For all <3956-pas-> seek <2212-zeteo-> their own, not the

things which are Jesus <2424-Iesous-> Christ's <5547-Christos->.

22 But ye know <1097-ginosko-> the proof <1382-dokime-> of him,

that, as a son <5043-teknon-> with the father <3962-pater->, he

hath served <1398-douleuo-> with me in the gospel <2098-

euaggelion->.

23 Him therefore <3767-oun-> I hope <1679-elpizo-> to send

<3992-pempo-> presently <1824-exautes->, so <5613-hos-> soon as

I shall see <0872-aphorao-> how <4012-peri-> it will go with me.

24 But I trust <3982-peitho-> in the Lord <2962-kurios-> that I

also <2532-kai-> myself shall come <2064-erchomai-> shortly

<5030-tacheos->.

25 Yet <1161-de-> I supposed <2233-hegeomai-> it necessary

<0316-anagkaios-> to send <3992-pempo-> to you Epaphroditus

<1891-Epaphroditos->, my brother <0080-adephos->, and companion

<4904-sunergos-> in labour <4904-sunergos->, and fellowsoldier

<4961-sustratiotes->, but your <5216-humon-> messenger <0652-

apostolos->, and he that ministered <3011-leitourgos-> to my

wants <5532-chreia->.

26 For he longed <1971-epipotheo-> after <1971-epipotheo-> you

all <3956-pas->, and was full of heaviness <0085-ademoneo->,

because <1360-dioti-> that ye had heard <0191-akouo-> that he

had been sick <0770-astheneo->.

27 For indeed <2532-kai-> he was sick <0770-astheneo-> nigh

<3897-paraplesion-> unto death <2288-thanatos->: but God <2316-

theos-> had mercy <1653-eleeo-> on him; and not on him only

<3440-monon->, but on me also <2532-kai->, lest <3361-me-> I

should have <2192-echo-> sorrow <3077-lupe-> upon sorrow <3077-

lupe->.

28 I sent <3992-pempo-> him therefore <3767-oun-> the more

<4708-spoudaioteros-> carefully <4708-spoudaioteros->, that,

when ye see <1492-eido-> him again <3825-palin->, ye may rejoice

<5463-chairo->, and that I may be the less <0253-alupoteros->

sorrowful <0253-alupoteros->.

29 Receive <4327-prosdechomai-> him therefore <3767-oun-> in

the Lord <2962-kurios-> with all <3956-pas-> gladness <5479-

chara->; and hold <2192-echo-> such <5108-toioutos-> in

reputation <1784-entimos->:

30 Because <3754-hoti-> for the work <2041-ergon-> of Christ

<5547-Christos-> he was nigh <1448-eggizo-> unto death <2288-

thanatos->, not regarding <3851-parabouleuomai-> his life <5590-

psuche->, to supply <0378-anapleroo-> your <5216-humon-> lack

<5303-husterema-> of service <3009-leitourgia-> toward <4314-

pros-> me.

Philippians 3

1. Finally <3063-loipon->, my brethren <0080-adephos->, rejoice

<5463-chairo-> in the Lord <2962-kurios->. To write <1125-grapho-

> the same <0846-autos-> things to you, to me indeed <3303-men->

[is] not grievous <3636-okneros->, but for you [it is] safe

<0809-askemon->.

2 Beware <0991-blepo-> of dogs <2965-kuon->, beware <0991-blepo-

> of evil <2556-kakos-> workers <2040-ergates->, beware <0991-

blepo-> of the concision <2699-katatome->.

3 For we are the circumcision <4061-peritome->, which <3588-ho-

> worship <3000-latreuo-> God <2316-theos-> in the spirit <4151-

pneuma->, and rejoice <2744-kauchaomai-> in Christ <5547-

Christos-> Jesus <2424-Iesous->, and have no <3756-ou->

confidence <3982-peitho-> in the flesh <4561-sarx->.

4. Though <2539-kaiper-> I might also <2532-kai-> have <2192-

echo-> confidence <4006-pepoithesis-> in the flesh <4561-sarx->.

If <1487-ei-> any <1536-ei tis-> other <0243-allos-> man

thinketh <1380-dokeo-> that he hath whereof he might trust <3982-

peitho-> in the flesh <4561-sarx->, I more <3123-mallon->:

5 Circumcised <4061-peritome-> the eighth <3637-oktaemeros->

day <2250-hemera->, of the stock <1085-genos-> of Israel <2474-

Israel->, [of] the tribe <5443-phule-> of Benjamin <0958-

Beniamin->, an Hebrew <1446-Hebrais-> of the Hebrews <1445-

Hebraios->; as touching <2596-kata-> the law <3551-nomos->, a

Pharisee <5330-Pharisaios->;

6 Concerning <2596-kata-> zeal <2205-zelos->, persecuting <1377-

dioko-> the church <1577-ekklesia->; touching <2596-kata-> the

righteousness <1343-dikaiosune-> which <3588-ho-> is in the law

<3551-nomos->, blameless <0273-amemptos->.

7 But what <3748-hostis-> things were gain <2771-kerdos-> to me,

those <5023-tauta-> I counted <2233-hegeomai-> loss <2209-zemia-

> for Christ <5547-Christos->.

8 Yea <0235-alla-> doubtless <3304-menounge->, and I count

<2233-hegeomai-> all <3956-pas-> things [but] loss <2209-zemia->

for the excellency <5242-huperecho-> of the knowledge <1108-

gnosis-> of Christ <5547-Christos-> Jesus <2424-Iesous-> my Lord

<2962-kurios->: for whom <3739-hos-> I have suffered <2210-

zemioo-> the loss <2210-zemioo-> of all <3956-pas-> things, and

do count <2233-hegeomai-> them [but] dung <4657-skubalon->, that

I may win <2770-kerdaino-> Christ <5547-Christos->,

9. And be found <2147-heurisko-> in him, not having <2192-echo-

> mine <1699-emos-> own <1699-emos-> righteousness <1343-

dikaiosune->, which <3588-ho-> is of the law <3551-nomos->, but

that which <3588-ho-> is through <1223-dia-> the faith <4102-

pistis-> of Christ <5547-Christos->, the righteousness <1343-

dikaiosune-> which <3588-ho-> is of God <2316-theos-> by faith

<4102-pistis->:

10 That I may know <1097-ginosko-> him, and the power <1411-

dunamis-> of his resurrection <0386-anastasis->, and the

fellowship <2842-koinonia-> of his sufferings <3804-pathema->,

being made <4832-summorphos-> conformable <4832-summorphos->

unto his death <2288-thanatos->;

11 If <1513-ei pos-> by any <4458--pos-> means <4458--pos-> I

might attain <2658-katantao-> unto the resurrection <1815-

exanastasis-> of the dead <3498-nekros->.

12 Not as though <3754-hoti-> I had already <2235-ede->

attained <2983-lambano->, either <2228-e-> were already <2235-

ede-> perfect <5048-teleioo->: but I follow <1377-dioko-> after,

if <1499-ei kai-> that I may apprehend <2638-katalambano-> that

for which <3739-hos-> also <2532-kai-> I am apprehended <2638-

katalambano-> of Christ <5547-Christos-> Jesus <2424-Iesous->.

13 Brethren <0080-adephos->, I count <3049-logizomai-> not

myself to have apprehended <2638-katalambano->: but [this] one

<1520-heis-> thing <1520-heis-> [I do], forgetting <1950-

epilanthanomai-> those <3588-ho-> things which are behind <3694-

opiso->, and reaching <1901-epekteinomai-> forth <1901-

epekteinomai-> unto those <3588-ho-> things which are before

<1715-emprosthen->,

14 I press <1377-dioko-> toward <2596-kata-> the mark <4649-

skopos-> for the prize <1017-brabeion-> of the high <0507-ano->

calling <2821-klesis-> of God <2316-theos-> in Christ <5547-

Christos-> Jesus <2424-Iesous->.

15. Let us therefore <3767-oun->, as many <3745-hosos-> as be

perfect <5046-teleios->, be thus <5124-touto-> minded <5426-

phroneo->: and if <1487-ei-> in any <1536-ei tis-> thing ye be

otherwise <2088-heteros-> minded <5426-phroneo->, God <2316-

theos-> shall reveal <0601-apokalupto-> even <2532-kai-> this

<5124-touto-> unto you.

16 Nevertheless <4133-plen->, whereto <3739-hos-> we have

already <5348-phthano-> attained <5348-phthano->, let us walk
