Revelation 18

earth <1093-ge-> was lightened <5461-photizo-> with his glory

2 And he cried <2896-krazo-> mightily <2479-ischus-> with a strong

<3173-megas-> voice <5456-phone->, saying <3004-lego->, Babylon

<0897-Babulon-> the great <3173-megas-> is fallen <4098-pipto->, is

fallen <4098-pipto->, and is become <1096-ginomai-> the habitation

<2732-katoiketerion-> of devils <1142-daimon->, and the hold

<5438-phulake-> of every <3956-pas-> foul <0169-akathartos-> spirit

<4151-pneuma->, and a cage <5438-phulake-> of every <3956-pas->

unclean <0169-akathartos-> and hateful <3404-miseo-> bird

3 For all <3956-pas-> nations <1484-ethnos-> have drunk of the wine

<3631-oinos-> of the wrath <2372-thumos-> of her fornication

<4202-porneia->, and the kings <0935-basileus-> of the earth

<1093-ge-> have committed <4203-porneuo-> fornication <4203-porneuo->

with her, and the merchants <1713-emporos-> of the earth <1093-ge->

are waxed <4147-plouteo-> rich <4147-plouteo-> through <1537-ek-> the

abundance <1411-dunamis-> of her delicacies <4764-strenos->.

4 And I heard <0191-akouo-> another <0243-allos-> voice <5456-phone->

from heaven <3772-ouranos->, saying <3004-lego->, Come

<1831-exerchomai-> out of her, my people <2992-laos->, that ye be not

partakers <4790-sugkoinoneo-> of her sins <0266-hamartia->, and that

ye receive <2983-lambano-> not of her plagues <4127-plege->.

5 For her sins <0266-hamartia-> have reached <0190-akoloutheo-> unto

heaven <3772-ouranos->, and God <2316-theos-> hath remembered

<3421-mnemoneuo-> her iniquities <0092-adikema->.

6 Reward <0591-apodidomi-> her even <2532-kai-> as she rewarded

<0591-apodidomi-> you, and double <1363-diploo-> unto her double

<1362-diplous-> according <2596-kata-> to her works <2041-ergon->: in

the cup <4221-poterion-> which <3739-hos-> she hath filled

<2767-kerannumi-> fill <2767-kerannumi-> to her double

<1362-diplous->.

7 How <3745-hosos-> much <3745-hosos-> she hath glorified

<1392-doxazo-> herself <1438-heautou->, and lived deliciously

<4763-streniao->, so <5118-tosoutos-> much <5118-tosoutos-> torment

<0929-basanismos-> and sorrow <3997-penthos-> give <1325-didomi-> her:

for she saith <3004-lego-> in her heart <2588-kardia->, I sit

<2521-kathemai-> a queen <0938-basilissa->, and am <1510-eimi-> no

<3756-ou-> widow <5503-chera->, and shall see <1492-eido-> no <3364-ou

me-> sorrow <3997-penthos->.

8 Therefore <5124-touto-> shall her plagues <4127-plege-> come

<2240-heko-> in one <3391-mia-> day <2250-hemera->, death

<2288-thanatos->, and mourning <3997-penthos->, and famine

<3042-limos->; and she shall be utterly <2618-katakaio-> burned

<2618-katakaio-> with fire <4442-pur->: for strong <2478-ischuros->

[is] the Lord <2962-kurios-> God <2316-theos-> who <3588-ho-> judgeth

<2919-krino-> her.

9. And the kings <0935-basileus-> of the earth <1093-ge->, who

<3588-ho-> have committed <4203-porneuo-> fornication <4203-porneuo->

and lived deliciously <4763-streniao-> with her, shall bewail

<2799-klaio-> her, and lament <2875-kopto-> for her, when

<3752-hotan-> they shall see <0991-blepo-> the smoke <2586-kapnos-> of

her burning <4451-purosis->,

10 Standing <2476-histemi-> afar <3113-makrothen-> off <0575-apo->

for the fear <5401-phobos-> of her torment <0929-basanismos->, saying

<3004-lego->, Alas <3758-oua->, alas <3758-oua->, that great

<3173-megas-> city <4172-polis-> Babylon <0897-Babulon->, that mighty

<2478-ischuros-> city <4172-polis->! for in one <3391-mia-> hour

<5610-hora-> is thy judgment <2920-krisis-> come <2064-erchomai->.

11 And the merchants <1713-emporos-> of the earth <1093-ge-> shall

weep <2799-klaio-> and mourn <3996-pentheo-> over <1909-epi-> her; for

no <3762-oudeis-> man <3762-oudeis-> buyeth <0059-agorazo-> their

merchandise <1117-gomos-> any <3765-ouketi-> more <3765-ouketi->:

12 The merchandise <1117-gomos-> of gold <5557-chrusos->, and silver

<0696-arguros->, and precious <5093-timios-> stones <3037-lithos->,

and of pearls <3135-margarites->, and fine linen <1040-bussos->, and

purple <4209-porphura->, and silk <4596-serikos->, and scarlet

<2847-kokkinos->, and all <3956-pas-> thyine <2367-thuinos-> wood

<3586-xulon->, and all <3956-pas-> manner vessels <4632-skeuos-> of

ivory <1661-elephantinos->, and all <3956-pas-> manner vessels

of brass <5475-chalkos->, and iron <4604-sideros->, and marble

13 And cinnamon <2792-kinamomon->, and odours <2368-thumiama->, and

ointments <3464-muron->, and frankincense <3030-libanos->, and wine

<3631-oinos->, and oil <1637-elaion->, and fine <4585-semidalis->

flour <4585-semidalis->, and wheat <4621-sitos->, and beasts

<2934-ktenos->, and sheep <4263-probaton->, and horses <2462-hippos->,

and chariots <4480-rheda->, and slaves <4983-soma->, and souls

<5590-psuche-> of men <0444-anthropos->.

14 And the fruits <3703-opora-> that thy soul <5590-psuche-> lusted

<1937-epithumeo-> after are departed <0565-aperchomai-> from thee, and

all <3956-pas-> things which <3588-ho-> were dainty <3045-liparos->

and goodly <2986-lampros-> are departed <0565-aperchomai-> from thee,

and thou shalt find <2147-heurisko-> them no <3764-oudepo-> more

<3765-ouketi-> at all <3364-ou me->.

15 The merchants <1713-emporos-> of these <5130-touton-> things,

which <3588-ho-> were made <4147-plouteo-> rich <4147-plouteo-> by

her, shall stand <2476-histemi-> afar <3113-makrothen-> off

<0575-apo-> for the fear <5401-phobos-> of her torment

<0929-basanismos->, weeping <2799-klaio-> and wailing <3996-pentheo->,

16 And saying <3004-lego->, Alas <3758-oua->, alas <3758-oua->, that

great <3173-megas-> city <4172-polis->, that was clothed

<4016-periballo-> in fine linen <1039-bussinos->, and purple

<4210-porphurous->, and scarlet <2847-kokkinos->, and decked

stones <3037-lithos->, and pearls <3135-margarites->!

17 For in one <3391-mia-> hour <5610-hora-> so <5118-tosoutos-> great

<5118-tosoutos-> riches <4149-ploutos-> is come <2049-eremoo-> to

nought <2049-eremoo->. And every <3956-pas-> shipmaster

<2942-kubernetes->, and all <3956-pas-> the company <3658-homilos-> in

ships <4143-ploion->, and sailors <3492-nautes->, and as many

18 And cried <2896-krazo-> when they saw <3708-horao-> the smoke

costliness <5094-timiotes->! for in one hour <5610-hora-> is she made

20 Rejoice <2165-euphraino-> over <1909-epi-> her, [thou] heaven

<3772-ouranos->, and [ye] holy <0040-hagios-> apostles and prophets

<4396-prophetes->; for God <2316-theos-> hath avenged <2917-krima->

you on <1537-ek-> her.

21 And a mighty <2478-ischuros-> angel <0032-aggelos-> took

<3173-megas-> millstone <3458-mulos->, and cast <0906-ballo-> [it]

<3173-megas-> city <4172-polis-> Babylon <0897-Babulon-> be thrown

<0906-ballo-> down, and shall be found <2147-heurisko-> no <3364-ou

me-> more <2089-eti-> at all <3364-ou me->.

22 And the voice <5456-phone-> of harpers <2790-kitharoidos->, and

musicians <3451-mousikos->, and of pipers <0834-auletes->, and

trumpeters <4538-salpistes->, shall be heard <0191-akouo-> no <3364-ou

me-> more <2089-eti-> at all <3364-ou me-> in thee; and no <3364-ou

me-> craftsman <5079-technites->, of whatsoever <3956-pas-> craft

<5078-techne-> [he be], shall be found <2147-heurisko-> any

<2089-eti-> more <2089-eti-> in thee; and the sound <5456-phone-> of a

millstone <3458-mulos-> shall be heard <0191-akouo-> no <3364-ou me->

more <2089-eti-> at all <3364-ou me-> in thee;

23 And the light <5457-phos-> of a candle <3088-luchnos-> shall shine

<5316-phaino-> no <3364-ou me-> more <2089-eti-> at all <3364-ou me->

in thee; and the voice <5456-phone-> of the bridegroom

<3566-numphios-> and of the bride <3565-numphe-> shall be heard

in thee: for thy merchants <1713-emporos-> were the great

<3175-megistanes-> men of the earth <1093-ge->; for by thy sorceries

<5331-pharmakeia-> were all <3956-pas-> nations <1484-ethnos->

deceived <4105-planao->.

24 And in her was found <2147-heurisko-> the blood <0129-haima-> of

prophets <4396-prophetes->, and of saints <0040-hagios->, and of all

<3956-pas-> that were slain <4969-sphazo-> upon the earth <1093-ge->.
