 : 2 I will utterly consume <5486 cuwph > all <3605 kol >  [ things ]  from off the land <0127 >adamah > ,  saith <5002 n@>um > the LORD <3068 Y@hovah > .

 : 3 I will consume <5486 cuwph > man <0120 >adam > and beast <0929 b@hemah > ;  I will consume <5486 cuwph > the fowls <5775 <owph > of the heaven <8064 shamayim > ,  and the fishes <1709 dag > of the sea <3220 yam > ,  and the stumblingblocks <4384 makshelah > with the wicked ;  and I will cut <3772 karath > off man <0120 >adam > from off the land <0127 >adamah > ,  saith <5002 n@>um > the LORD <3068 Y@hovah > .

 : 4 I will also stretch <5186 natah > out mine hand <3027 yad > upon Judah <3063 Y@huwdah > ,  and upon all <3605 kol > the inhabitants <3427 yashab > of Jerusalem <3389 Y@ruwshalaim > ;  and I will cut <3772 karath > off the remnant <7605 sh@>ar > of Baal <1168 Ba<al > from this place <4725 maqowm > ,   [ and ]  the name <8034 shem > of the Chemarims <3649 kamar > with the priests <3548 kohen > ;

 : 8 And it shall come <1961 hayah > to pass in the day <3117 yowm > of the LORD S <3068 Y@hovah > sacrifice <2077 zebach > ,  that I will punish <6485 paqad > the princes <8269 sar > ,  and the king s <4428 melek > children <1121 ben > ,  and all <3605 kol > such as are clothed <3847 labash > with strange <5237 nokriy > apparel <4403 malbuwsh > .

 : 9 In the same <1931 huw> > day <3117 yowm > also will I punish <6485 paqad > all <3605 kol > those that leap <1801 dalag > on <5921 <al > the threshold <4670 miphtan > ,  which fill <4390 male> > their masters <0113 >adown >  houses <1004 bayith > with violence <2555 chamac > and deceit <4820 mirmah > .

 : 11 Howl <3213 yalal > ,  ye inhabitants <3427 yashab > of Maktesh <4389 Maktesh > ,  for all <3605 kol > the merchant <3667 K@na<an > people <5971 <am > are cut <1820 damah > down ;  all <3605 kol > they that bear <5187 n@tiyl > silver <3701 keceph > are cut <3772 karath > off .

 : 12 And it shall come <1961 hayah > to pass at that time <6256 <eth > ,   [ that ]  I will search <2664 chaphas > Jerusalem <3389 Y@ruwshalaim > with candles <5216 niyr > ,  and punish <6485 paqad > the men <0582 >enowsh > that are settled <7087 qapha> > on <5921 <al > their lees <8105 shemer > : that say <0559 >amar > in their heart <3824 lebab > ,  The LORD <3068 Y@hovah > will not do good <3190 yatab > ,  neither <3808 lo> > will he do evil <7489 ra<a< > .

 : 13 Therefore their goods <2428 chayil > shall become <1961 hayah > a booty <4953 mashrowqiy > ,  and their houses <1004 bayith > a desolation <8047 shammah > : they shall also build <1129 banah > houses <1004 bayith > ,  but not inhabit <3427 yashab >  [ them ]  ;  and they shall plant <5193 nata< > vineyards <3754 kerem > ,  but not drink <8354 shathah > the wine <3196 yayin > thereof .

 : 14 .  The great <1419 gadowl > day <3117 yowm > of the LORD <3068 Y@hovah > [ is ]  near <7138 qarowb > ,   [ it is ]  near <7138 qarowb > ,  and hasteth <4116 mahar > greatly <3966 m@<od > ,   [ even ]  the voice <6963 qowl > of the day <3117 yowm > of the LORD <3068 Y@hovah > : the mighty <1368 gibbowr > man shall cry <6873 tsarach > there <8033 sham > bitterly <4751 mar > .

 : 7 And the coast <2256 chebel > shall be for the remnant <7611 sh@>eriyth > of the house <1004 bayith > of Judah <3063 Y@huwdah > ;  they shall feed <7462 ra<ah > thereupon : in the houses <1004 bayith > of Ashkelon <0831 >Ashq@lown > shall they lie <7257 rabats > down <7257 rabats > in the evening <6153 <ereb > : for the LORD <3068 Y@hovah > their God <0430 >elohiym > shall visit <6485 paqad > them ,  and turn <7725 shuwb > away their captivity <7622 sh@buwth > .

 : 13 And he will stretch <5186 natah > out his hand <3027 yad > against <5921 <al > the north <6828 tsaphown > ,  and destroy <6> Assyria <0804 >Ashshuwr > ;  and will make <7760 suwm > Nineveh <5210 Niyn@veh > a desolation <8077 sh@mamah > ,   [ and ]  dry <6723 tsiyah > like a wilderness <4057 midbar > .

 : 2 She obeyed <8085 shama< > not the voice <6963 qowl > ;  she received <3947 laqach > not correction <4148 muwcar > ;  she trusted <0982 batach > not in the LORD <3068 Y@hovah > ;  she drew not near <7126 qarab > to her God <0430 >elohiym > .

 : 3 Her princes <8269 sar > within <7130 qereb > her  [ are ]  roaring lions <0738 >ariy > ;  her judges <8199 shaphat >  [ are ]  evening <6153 <ereb > wolves <2061 z@>eb > ;  they gnaw <1633 garam > not the bones <1633 garam > till the morrow <1242 boqer > .

 : 5 The just <6662 tsaddiyq > LORD <3068 Y@hovah >  [ is ]  in the midst <7130 qereb > thereof ;  he will not do <6213 <asah > iniquity <5766 <evel > : every morning <1242 boqer > doth he bring <5414 nathan > his judgment <4941 mishpat > to light <0216 >owr > ,  he faileth <5737 <adar > not ;  but the unjust <5767 <avval > knoweth <3045 yada< > no <3808 lo> > shame <1322 bosheth > .

 : 6 I have cut <3772 karath > off the nations <1471 gowy > : their towers <6438 pinnah > are desolate <8074 shamem > ;  I made their streets <2351 chuwts > waste <2717 charab > ,  that none <1097 b@liy > passeth <5674 <abar > by : their cities <5892 <iyr > are destroyed <6658 tsadah > ,  so that there is no <1097 b@liy > man <0376 >iysh > ,  that there is none <0369 >ayin > inhabitant <3427 yashab > .

 : 7 I said <0559 >amar > ,  Surely thou wilt fear <3372 yare> > me ,  thou wilt receive <3947 laqach > instruction <4148 muwcar > ;  so their dwelling <4583 ma<own > should not be cut <3772 karath > off ,  howsoever I punished <6485 paqad > them : but they rose <7925 shakam > early <7925 shakam > ,   [ and ]  corrupted <7843 shachath > all <3605 kol > their doings <5949 <aliylah > .
