:Romans 2

:1. :2 But we are sure <1492-eido-> that the judgment <2917-krima-> of God <2316-theos-> is according <2596-kata-> to truth <0225-aletheia-> against <1909-epi-> them which commit <4238-prasso-> such <5108-toioutos-> things.

:8 But unto them that are contentious <2052-eritheia->, and do not obey <0544-apeitheo-> the truth <0225-aletheia->, but obey <3982-peitho-> unrighteousness <0093-adikia->, indignation <2372-thumos-> and wrath <3709-orge->,

:10 But glory <1391-doxa->, honour <5092-time->, and peace <1515-eirene->, to every <3956-pas-> man <3956-pas-> that worketh <2038-ergazomai-> good <0018-agathos->, to the Jew <2453-Ioudaios-> first <4412-proton->, and also <2532-kai-> to the Gentile <1672-Hellen->:

:11 For there is no <3756-ou-> respect <4382-prosopolepsia-> of persons <4382-prosopolepsia-> with God <2316-theos->.

:12 For as many <3745-hosos-> as have sinned <0264-hamartano-> without <0460-anomos-> law <0460-anomos-> shall also <2532-kai-> perish <0622-apollumi-> without <0460-anomos-> law <0460-anomos->: and as many <3745-hosos-> as have sinned <0264-hamartano-> in the law <3551-nomos-> shall be judged <2919-krino-> by the law <3551-nomos->;

:13 (For not the hearers <0202-akroates-> of the law <3551-nomos-> [are] just <1342-dikaios-> before <3844-para-> God <2316-theos->, but the doers <4163-poietes-> of the law <3551-nomos-> shall be justified <1344-dikaioo->.

:14 For when <3752-hotan-> the Gentiles <1484-ethnos->, which <3588-ho-> have <2192-echo-> not the law <3551-nomos->, do <4160-poieo-> by nature <5449-phusis-> the things contained in the law <3551-nomos->, these <3778-houtos->, having <2192-echo-> not the law <3551-nomos->, are a law <3551-nomos-> unto themselves <1438-heautou->:

:17. Behold <2396-ide->, thou art called <2028-eponomazo-> a Jew <2453-Ioudaios->, and restest <1879-epanapauomai-> in the law <3551-nomos->, and makest <2744-kauchaomai-> thy boast <2744-kauchaomai-> of God <2316-theos->,

:18 And knowest <1097-ginosko-> [his] will <2307-thelema->, and approvest <1381-dokimazo-> the things that are more excellent <1308-diaphero->, being instructed <2727-katecheo-> out of the law <3551-nomos->;

:19 And art confident <3982-peitho-> that thou thyself <4572-seautou-> art a guide <3595-hodegos-> of the blind <5185-tuphlos->, a light <5457-phos-> of them which are in darkness <4655-skotos->,

:20 An instructor <3810-paideutes-> of the foolish <0878-aphron->, a teacher <1320-didaskalos-> of babes <3516-nepios->, which hast <2192-echo-> the form <3446-morphosis-> of knowledge <1108-gnosis-> and of the truth <0225-aletheia-> in the law <3551-nomos->.

:21 Thou therefore <3767-oun-> which <3588-ho-> teachest <1321-didasko-> another <2087-heteros->, teachest <1321-didasko-> thou not thyself <4572-seautou->? thou that preachest <2784-kerusso-> a man should not steal <2813-klepto->, dost thou steal <2813-klepto->?

:22 Thou that sayest <3004-lego-> a man should not commit <3431-moicheuo-> adultery <3431-moicheuo->, dost thou commit <3431-moicheuo-> adultery <3431-moicheuo->? thou that abhorrest <0948-bdelusso-> idols <1497-eidolon->, dost thou commit <2416-hierosuleo-> sacrilege <2416-hierosuleo->?

:23 Thou that makest <2744-kauchaomai-> thy boast <2744-kauchaomai-> of the law <3551-nomos->, through <1223-dia-> breaking <3847-parabasis-> the law <3551-nomos-> dishonourest <0818-atimazo-> thou God <2316-theos->?

:24 For the name <3686-onoma-> of God <2316-theos-> is blasphemed <0987-blasphemeo-> among <1722-en-> the Gentiles <1484-ethnos-> through <1223-dia-> you, as it is written <1125-grapho->.

:25 For circumcision <4061-peritome-> verily <3303-men-> profiteth <5623-opheleo->, if <1437-ean-> thou keep <4238-prasso-> the law <3551-nomos->: but if <1437-ean-> thou be a breaker <3848-parabates-> of the law <3551-nomos->, thy circumcision <4061-peritome-> is made <1096-ginomai-> uncircumcision <0203-akrobustia->.

:26 Therefore <3767-oun-> if <1437-ean-> the uncircumcision <0203-akrobustia-> keep <5442-phulasso-> the righteousness <1345-dikaioma-> of the law <3551-nomos->, shall not his uncircumcision <0203-akrobustia-> be counted <3049-logizomai-> for circumcision <4061-peritome->?

:27 And shall not uncircumcision <0203-akrobustia-> which is by nature <5449-phusis->, if it fulfil <5055-teleo-> the law <3551-nomos->, judge <2919-krino-> thee, who <3588-ho-> by the letter <1121-gramma-> and circumcision <4061-peritome-> dost transgress <3848-parabates-> the law <3551-nomos->?

:28 For he is not a Jew <2453-Ioudaios->, which is one outwardly <5318-phaneros->; neither <3761-oude-> [is that] circumcision <4061-peritome->, which is outward <5318-phaneros-> in the flesh <4561-sarx->:

:Romans 3

:1. What <5101-tis-> advantage <4053-perissos-> then <3767-oun-> hath the Jew <2453-Ioudaios->? or <2228-e-> what <5101-tis-> profit <5622-opheleia-> [is there] of circumcision <4061-peritome->?

:2 Much <4183-polus-> every <3956-pas-> way <5158-tropos->: chiefly <4412-proton->, because <3754-hoti-> that unto them were committed <4100-pisteuo-> the oracles <3051-logion-> of God <2316-theos->.

:3 For what <5101-tis-> if <1487-ei-> some <5100-tis-> did not believe <0569-apisteo->? shall their unbelief <0570-apaistia-> make <2673-katargeo-> the faith <4102-pistis-> of God <2316-theos-> without <2673-katargeo-> effect <2673-katargeo->?

:4 God <1096-ginomai-> forbid <1096-ginomai->: yea <1161-de->, let God <2316-theos-> be true <0227-alethes->, but every <3956-pas-> man <0444-anthropos-> a liar <5583-pseustes->; as it is written <1125-grapho->, That thou mightest be justified <1344-dikaioo-> in thy sayings <3056-logos->, and mightest overcome <3528-nikao-> when <3588-ho-> thou art judged <2919-krino->.

:5 But if <1487-ei-> our unrighteousness <0093-adikia-> commend <4921-sunistao-> the righteousness <1343-dikaiosune-> of God <2316-theos->, what <5101-tis-> shall we say <2046-ereo->? [Is] God <2316-theos-> unrighteous <0094-adikos-> who <3588-ho-> taketh <2018-epiphero-> vengeance <3709-orge->? (I speak <3004-lego-> as a man <0444-anthropos->)

:6 God <1096-ginomai-> forbid <1096-ginomai->: for then how <4459-pos-> shall God <2316-theos-> judge <2919-krino-> the world <2889-kosmos->?

:7 For if <1487-ei-> the truth <0225-aletheia-> of God <2316-theos-> hath more abounded <4052-perisseuo-> through <1722-en-> my lie <5582-pseusma-> unto his glory <1391-doxa->; why <5101-tis-> yet <2089-eti-> am I also <2504-kago-> judged <2919-krino-> as a sinner <0268-hamartolos->?

:8 And not [rather], (as we be slanderously <0987-blasphemeo-> reported <0987-blasphemeo->, and as some <5100-tis-> affirm <5346-phemi-> that we say <3004-lego->,) Let us do <4160-poieo-> evil <2556-kakos->, that good <0018-agathos-> may come <2064-erchomai->? whose <3739-hos-> damnation <2917-krima-> is just <1738-endikos->.

:Romans 4

:6 But now <3570-nuni-> we are delivered <2673-katargeo-> from the law <3551-nomos->, that being dead <0599-apothnesko-> wherein <3757-hou-> we were held <2722-katecho->; that we should serve <1398-douleuo-> in newness <2538-kainotes-> of spirit <4151-pneuma->, and not [in] the oldness <3821-palaiotes-> of the letter <1121-gramma->.

:7. What <5101-tis-> shall we say <2046-ereo-> then <3767-oun->? [Is] the law <3551-nomos-> sin <0266-hamartia->? God <1096-ginomai-> forbid <1096-ginomai->. Nay <0235-alla->, I had not known <1097-ginosko-> sin <0266-hamartia->, but by the law <3551-nomos->: for I had not known <1492-eido-> lust <1939-epithumia->, except <1508-ei me-> the law <3551-nomos-> had said <3004-lego->, Thou shalt not covet <1937-epithumeo->.

:10 And the commandment <1785-entole->, which <3588-ho-> [was ordained] to life <2222-zoe->, I found <2147-heurisko-> [to be] unto death <2288-thanatos->.

:11 For sin <0266-hamartia->, taking <2983-lambano-> occasion <0874-aphorme-> by the commandment <1785-entole->, deceived <1818-exapatao-> me, and by it slew <0615-apokteino-> [me].

:Romans 8

:30. What <5101-tis-> shall we say <2046-ereo-> then <3767-oun->? That the Gentiles <1484-ethnos->, which <3588-ho-> followed <1377-dioko-> not after righteousness <1343-dikaiosune->, have attained <2638-katalambano-> to righteousness <1343-dikaiosune->, even <1161-de-> the righteousness <1343-dikaiosune-> which <3588-ho-> is of faith <4102-pistis->.

:31 But Israel <2474-Israel->, which followed <1377-dioko-> after the law <3551-nomos-> of righteousness <1343-dikaiosune->, hath not attained <5348-phthano-> to the law <3551-nomos-> of righteousness <1343-dikaiosune->.

:32 Wherefore <1302-diati->? Because <3754-hoti-> [they sought <2212-zeteo-> it] not by faith <4102-pistis->, but as it were by the works <2041-ergon-> of the law <3551-nomos->. For they stumbled <4350-proskopto-> at that stumblingstone <4348-proskomma->;

:Romans 10

:1. Brethren <0080-adephos->, my heart's <2588-kardia-> desire <2107-eudokia-> and prayer <1162-deesis-> to God <2316-theos-> for Israel <2474-Israel-> is, that they might be saved <4991-soteria->.

:2 For I bear <3140-martureo-> them record <3140-martureo-> that they have <2192-echo-> a zeal <2205-zelos-> of God <2316-theos->, but not according <2596-kata-> to knowledge <1922-epignosis->.

:5 For Moses <3475-Moseus-> describeth <1125-grapho-> the righteousness <1343-dikaiosune-> which <3588-ho-> is of the law <3551-nomos->, That the man <0444-anthropos-> which doeth <4160-poieo-> those <0846-autos-> things shall live <2198-zao-> by them.

:6 But the righteousness <1343-dikaiosune-> which is of faith <4102-pistis-> speaketh <3004-lego-> on this <3779-houto-> wise <3779-houto->, Say <2036-epo-> not in thine <4675-sou-> heart <2588-kardia->, Who <5101-tis-> shall ascend <0305-anabaino-> into <1519-eis-> heaven <3772-ouranos->? :7 Or <2228-e->, Who <5101-tis-> shall descend <2597-katabaino-> into <1519-eis-> the deep <0012-abussos->? (that is, to bring <0321-anago-> up Christ <5547-Christos-> again <0321-anago-> from the dead <3498-nekros->.)

:8 But what <5101-tis-> saith <3004-lego-> it? The word <4487-rhema-> is nigh <1451-eggus-> thee, [even] in thy mouth <4750-stoma->, and in thy heart <2588-kardia->: that is, the word <4487-rhema-> of faith <4102-pistis->, which <3739-hos-> we preach <2784-kerusso->;

:9 That if <1437-ean-> thou shalt confess <3670-homologeo-> with thy mouth <4750-stoma-> the Lord <2962-kurios-> Jesus <2424-Iesous->, and shalt believe <4100-pisteuo-> in thine <4675-sou-> heart <2588-kardia-> that God <2316-theos-> hath raised <1453-egeiro-> him from the dead <3498-nekros->, thou shalt be saved <4982-sozo->.

:10 For with the heart <2588-kardia-> man believeth <4100-pisteuo-> unto righteousness <1343-dikaiosune->; and with the mouth <4750-stoma-> confession <3670-homologeo-> is made <3670-homologeo-> unto salvation <4991-soteria->.

:11 For the scripture <1124-graphe-> saith <3004-lego->, Whosoever <3588-ho-> believeth <4100-pisteuo-> on <1909-epi-> him shall not be ashamed <2617-kataischuno->.

:12. For there is no <3756-ou-> difference <1293-diastole-> between the Jew <2453-Ioudaios-> and the Greek <1672-Hellen->: for the same <0846-autos-> Lord <2962-kurios-> over all <3956-pas-> is rich <4147-plouteo-> unto all <3956-pas-> that call <1941-epikaleomai-> upon him.

:13 For whosoever <0302-an-> shall call <1941-epikaleomai-> upon the name <3686-onoma-> of the Lord <2962-kurios-> shall be saved <4982-sozo->.

:17 So <0686-ara-> then <0686-ara-> faith <4102-pistis-> [cometh] by hearing <0189-akoe->, and hearing <0189-akoe-> by the word <4487-rhema-> of God <2316-theos->.

:18 But I say <3004-lego->, Have they not heard <0191-akouo->? Yes <3304-menounge-> verily <3304-menounge->, their sound <5353-phthoggos-> went <1831-exerchomai-> into <1519-eis-> all <3956-pas-> the earth <1093-ge->, and their words <4487-rhema-> unto the ends <4009-peras-> of the world <3625-oikoumene->.

:19 But I say <3004-lego->, Did not Israel <2474-Israel-> know <1097-ginosko->? :Romans 11

:1. I say <2046-ereo-> then <3767-oun->, Hath God <2316-theos-> cast <0683-apotheomai-> away <0683-apotheomai-> his people <2992-laos->? God <1096-ginomai-> forbid <1096-ginomai->. For I also <2532-kai-> am <1510-eimi-> an Israelite <2475-Israelites->, of the seed <4690-sperma-> of Abraham <11>, [of] the tribe <5443-phule-> of Benjamin <0958-Beniamin->.

:4 But what <5101-tis-> saith <3004-lego-> the answer <5538-chrematismos-> of God unto him? I have reserved <2641-kataleipo-> to myself <1683-emautou-> seven <2035-heptakischilioi-> thousand <2035-heptakischilioi-> men <0435-aner->, who <3748-hostis-> have not bowed <2578-kampto-> the knee <1119-gonu-> to [the image of] Baal <0896-Baal->.

:5 Even <2532-kai-> so <3779-houto-> then <3767-oun-> at <1722-en-> this <3588-ho-> present <3568-nun-> time <2540-kairos-> also <2532-kai-> there is a remnant <3005-leimma-> according <2596-kata-> to the election <1589-ekloge-> of grace <5485-charis->.

:6 And if <1487-ei-> by grace <5485-charis->, then [is it] no <3765-ouketi-> more <2089-eti-> of works <2041-ergon->: otherwise <1893-epei-> grace <5485-charis-> is no <3765-ouketi-> more <2089-eti-> grace <5485-charis->. But if <1487-ei-> [it be] of works <2041-ergon->, then is it no <3765-ouketi-> more <2089-eti-> grace <5485-charis->: otherwise <1893-epei-> work <2041-ergon-> is no <3765-ouketi-> more <2089-eti-> work <2041-ergon->.

:7 What <5101-tis-> then <3767-oun->? Israel <2474-Israel-> hath not obtained <2013-epitugchano-> that which <3739-hos-> he seeketh <1934-epizeteo-> for; but the election <1589-ekloge-> hath obtained <2013-epitugchano-> it, and the rest <3062-loipoy-> were blinded <4456-poroo->

:8 (According as it is written <1125-grapho->, God <2316-theos-> hath given <1325-didomi-> them the spirit <4151-pneuma-> of slumber <2659-katanuxis->, eyes <3788-ophthalmos-> that they should not see <0991-blepo->, and ears <3775-ous-> that they should not hear <0191-akouo->;) unto this <4594-semeron-> day <2250-hemera->.

:17 And if <1487-ei-> some <5100-tis-> of the branches <2798-klados-> be broken <1575-ekklao-> off <1575-ekklao->, and thou, being <5607-on-> a wild <0065-agrielaios-> olive <0065-agrielaios-> tree <0065-agrielaios->, wert graffed <1461-egkentrizo-> in among <1722-en-> them, and with them partakest <4791-sugkoinonos-> of the root <4491-rhiza-> and fatness <4096-piotes-> of the olive <1636-elaia-> tree;

:18 Boast <2620-katakauchaomai-> not against <2620-katakauchaomai-> the branches <2798-klados->. But if <1487-ei-> thou boast, thou bearest <0941-bastazo-> not the root <4491-rhiza->, but the root <4491-rhiza-> thee.

:19 Thou wilt say <2046-ereo-> then <3767-oun->, The branches <2798-klados-> were broken <1575-ekklao-> off <1575-ekklao->, that I might be graffed <1461-egkentrizo-> in.

:20 Well <2573-kalos->; because of unbelief <0570-apaistia-> they were broken <1575-ekklao-> off <1575-ekklao->, and thou standest <2476-histemi-> by faith <4102-pistis->. Be not highminded <5309-hupselophroneo->, but fear <5399-phobeo->:

:21 For if <1487-ei-> God <2316-theos-> spared <5339-pheidomai-> not the natural <5449-phusis-> branches <2798-klados->, [take heed] lest <3381-mepos-> he also <3761-oude-> spare <5339-pheidomai-> not thee.
