:3  Grace <5485-charis-> to you, and peace <1515-eirene->, from God <2316-theos-> our Father <3962-pater-> and the Lord <2962-kurios-> Jesus <2424-Iesous-> Christ <5547-Christos->.

:5  Hearing <0191-akouo-> of thy love <0026-agape-> and faith <4102-pistis->, which <3739-hos-> thou hast <2192-echo-> toward <4314-pros-> the Lord <2962-kurios-> Jesus <2424-Iesous->, and toward <1519-eis-> all <3956-pas-> saints <0040-hagios->;

:6  That the communication <2842-koinonia-> of thy faith <4102-pistis-> may become <1096-ginomai-> effectual <1756-energes-> by the acknowledging <1922-epignosis-> of every <3956-pas-> good <0018-agathos-> thing which <3588-ho-> is in you in Christ <5547-Christos-> Jesus <2424-Iesous->.

:7  For we have <2192-echo-> great <4183-polus-> joy <5485-charis-> and consolation <3874-paraklesis-> in thy love <0026-agape->, because <3754-hoti-> the bowels <4698-splagchnon-> of the saints <0040-hagios-> are refreshed <0373-anapano-> by thee, brother <0080-adephos->.

:8. Wherefore <1352-dio->, though I might be much <4183-polus-> bold <3954-parrhesia-> in Christ <5547-Christos-> to enjoin <2004-epitasso-> thee that which is convenient <0433-aneko->,

:9  Yet for love's <0026-agape-> sake I rather <3123-mallon-> beseech <3870-parakaleo-> [thee], being <5607-on-> such <5108-toioutos-> an one as Paul <3972-Paulos-> the aged <4246-presbutes->, and now <3570-nuni-> also <2532-kai-> a prisoner <1198-desmios-> of Jesus <2424-Iesous-> Christ <5547-Christos->.

:10  I beseech <3870-parakaleo-> thee for my son <5043-teknon-> Onesimus <3682-Onesimos->, whom <3739-hos-> I have begotten <1080-gennao-> in my bonds <1199-desmon->:

:11  Which <3588-ho-> in time <4218-pote-> past was to thee unprofitable <0890-achrestos->, but now <3570-nuni-> profitable <2173-euchrestos-> to thee and to me:

:12  Whom <3739-hos-> I have sent <0628-apolouo-> again <0375-anapempo->: thou therefore receive <4355-proslambano-> him, that is, mine <1699-emos-> own bowels <4698-splagchnon->:

:13  Whom <3739-hos-> I would have retained <2722-katecho-> with me, that in thy stead <5228-huper-> he might have ministered <1247-diakoneo-> unto me in the bonds <1199-desmon-> of the gospel <2098-euaggelion->:

:14  But without <5565-choris-> thy mind <1106-gnome-> would <2309-thelo-> I do <4160-poieo-> nothing <3762-oudeis->; that thy benefit <0018-agathos-> should not be as it were of necessity <0318-anagke->, but willingly <1595-hekousion->.

:15  For perhaps <5029-tacha-> he therefore <5124-touto-> departed <5563-chorizo-> for a season <5610-hora->, that thou shouldest receive <0568-apecho-> him for ever <0166-aionios->;

:16  Not now <3765-ouketi-> as a servant <1401-doulos->, but above <5228-huper-> a servant <1401-doulos->, a brother <0080-adephos-> beloved <0027-agapetos->, specially <3122-malista-> to me, but how <4214-posos-> much <4214-posos-> more <3123-mallon-> unto thee, both <2532-kai-> in the flesh <4561-sarx->, and in the Lord <2962-kurios->?

:17  If <1487-ei-> thou count <2192-echo-> me therefore <3767-oun-> a partner <2844-koinonos->, receive <4355-proslambano-> him as myself <1691-eme->.

:18  If <1487-ei-> he hath wronged <0091-adikeo-> thee, or <2228-e-> oweth <3784-opheilo-> [thee] ought <5100-tis->, put <1677-ellogeo-> that on <1677-ellogeo-> mine <1699-emos-> account <1677-ellogeo->;

:19  I Paul <3972-Paulos-> have written <1125-grapho-> [it] with mine own hand <5495-cheir->, I will repay <0661-apotino-> [it]: albeit <2443-hina-> I do not say <3004-lego-> to thee how <3754-hoti-> thou owest <4359-prosopheilo-> unto me even <2532-kai-> thine <4572-seautou-> own <4572-seautou-> self <4572-seautou-> besides <4359-prosopheilo->.

:20  Yea <3483-nai->, brother <0080-adephos->, let me have joy <3685-oninemi-> of thee in the Lord <2962-kurios->: refresh <0373-anapano-> my bowels <4698-splagchnon-> in the Lord <2962-kurios->.

:21  Having confidence <3982-peitho-> in thy obedience <5218-hupakoe-> I wrote <1125-grapho-> unto thee, knowing <1492-eido-> that thou wilt also <2532-kai-> do <4160-poieo-> more <5228-huper-> than <5228-huper-> I say <3004-lego->.
