:17  And he is before <4253-pro-> all <3956-pas-> things, and by him all <3956-pas-> things consist <4921-sunistao->.

:18  And he is the head <2776-kephale-> of the body <4983-soma->, the church <1577-ekklesia->: who <3739-hos-> is the beginning <0746-arche->, the firstborn <4416-prototokos-> from the dead <3498-nekros->; that in all <3956-pas-> [things] he might have the preeminence <4409-proteuo->.

:19  For it pleased <2106-eudokeo-> [the Father] that in him should all <3956-pas-> fulness <4138-pleroma-> dwell <2730-katoikeo->;

:20  And, having made <1517-eirenopoieo-> peace <1517-eirenopoieo-> through <1223-dia-> the blood <0129-haima-> of his cross <4716-stauros->, by him to reconcile <0604-apokatallasso-> all <3956-pas-> things unto himself <0848-hautou->; by him, [I say], whether <1535-eite-> [they be] things in earth <1093-ge->, or <1535-eite-> things in heaven <3772-ouranos->.

:21  And you, that were sometime <4218-pote-> alienated <0526-apallotrioo-> and enemies <2190-echthros-> in [your <3588-ho->] mind <1271-dianoia-> by wicked <4190-poneros-> works <2041-ergon->, yet <1161-de-> now <3570-nuni-> hath he reconciled <0604-apokatallasso->

:Colossians   2

:1. For I would <2309-thelo-> that ye knew <1492-eido-> what <2245-helikos-> great <2245-helikos-> conflict <0073-agon-> I have <2192-echo-> for you, and [for] them at <1722-en-> Laodicea <2993-Laodikeia->, and [for] as many <3745-hosos-> as have not seen <3708-horao-> my face <4383-prosopon-> in the flesh <4561-sarx->;

:2  That their hearts <2588-kardia-> might be comforted <3870-parakaleo->, being knit <4822-sumbibazo-> together <4822-sumbibazo-> in love <0026-agape->, and unto all <3956-pas-> riches <4149-ploutos-> of the full <4136-plerophoria-> assurance <4136-plerophoria-> of understanding <4907-sunesis->, to the acknowledgement <1922-epignosis-> of the mystery <3466-musterion-> of God <2316-theos->, and of the Father <3962-pater->, and of Christ <5547-Christos->;

:3  In whom <3739-hos-> are hid <0614-apokruphos-> all <3956-pas-> the treasures <2344-thesauros-> of wisdom <4678-sophia-> and knowledge <1108-gnosis->.

:4. And this <5124-touto-> I say <3004-lego->, lest <3361-me-> any <3387-metis-> man should beguile <3884-paralogizomai-> you with enticing <4086-pithanologia-> words <4086-pithanologia->.

:5  For though <1499-ei kai-> I be absent <0548-apeimi-> in the flesh <4561-sarx->, yet <0235-alla-> am <1510-eimi-> I with you in the spirit <4151-pneuma->, joying <5463-chairo-> and beholding <0991-blepo-> your <5216-humon-> order <5010-taxis->, and the stedfastness <4733-stereoma-> of your <5216-humon-> faith <4102-pistis-> in Christ <5547-Christos->.

:6  As ye have therefore <3767-oun-> received <3880-paralambano-> Christ <5547-Christos-> Jesus <2424-Iesous-> the Lord <2962-kurios->, [so] walk <4043-peripateo-> ye in him:

:7  Rooted <4492-rhizoo-> and built <2026-epoikodomeo-> up in him, and stablished <0950-bebaioo-> in the faith <4102-pistis->, as ye have been taught <1321-didasko->, abounding <4052-perisseuo-> therein <0846-autos-> with thanksgiving <2169-eucharistia->.

:8  Beware <0991-blepo-> lest <3361-me-> any <3387-metis-> man spoil <4812-sulagogeo-> you through <1223-dia-> philosophy <5385-philosophia-> and vain <2756-kenos-> deceit <0539-apate->, after <2596-kata-> the tradition <3862-paradosis-> of men <0444-anthropos->, after <2596-kata-> the rudiments <4747-stoicheion-> of the world <2889-kosmos->, and not after <2596-kata-> Christ <5547-Christos->.

:9  For in him dwelleth <2730-katoikeo-> all <3956-pas-> the fulness <4138-pleroma-> of the Godhead <2320-theotes-> bodily <4985-somatikos->.

:10  And ye are complete <4137-pleroo-> in him, which <3739-hos-> is the head <2776-kephale-> of all <3956-pas-> principality <0746-arche-> and power <1849-exousia->:

:11  In whom <3739-hos-> also <2532-kai-> ye are circumcised <4059-peritemno-> with the circumcision <4061-peritome-> made <1096-ginomai-> without <0886-acheiropoietos-> hands <0886-acheiropoietos->, in putting <0555-apekdusis-> off <0554-apekduomai-> the body <4983-soma-> of the sins <0266-hamartia-> of the flesh <4561-sarx-> by the circumcision <4061-peritome-> of Christ <5547-Christos->:

:12  Buried <4916-sunthapto-> with him in baptism <0908-baptisma->, wherein <3757-hou-> also <2532-kai-> ye are risen <4891-sunegeiro-> with [him] through <1223-dia-> the faith <4102-pistis-> of the operation <1753-energeia-> of God <2316-theos->, who <3588-ho-> hath raised <1453-egeiro-> him from the dead <3498-nekros->.

:13. And you, being <5607-on-> dead <3498-nekros-> in your <5216-humon-> sins <3900-paraptoma-> and the uncircumcision <0203-akrobustia-> of your <5216-humon-> flesh <4561-sarx->, hath he quickened <4806-suzoopoieo-> together <4806-suzoopoieo-> with him, having forgiven <5483-charizomai-> you all <3956-pas-> trespasses <3900-paraptoma->;

:14  Blotting <1813-exaleipho-> out the handwriting <5498-cheirographon-> of ordinances <1378-dogma-> that was against <2596-kata-> us, which <3739-hos-> was contrary <5227-hupenantios-> to us, and took <0142-airo-> it out of the way <3319-mesos->, nailing <4338-proseloo-> it to his cross <4716-stauros->;

:15  [And] having spoiled <0554-apekduomai-> principalities <0746-arche-> and powers <1849-exousia->, he made <1165-deigmatizo-> a shew <1165-deigmatizo-> of them openly <3954-parrhesia->, triumphing <2358-thriambeuo-> over them in it.

:16. Let no <3361-me-> man <5100-tis-> therefore <3767-oun-> judge <2919-krino-> you in meat <1035-brosis->, or <2228-e-> in drink <4213-posis->, or <2228-e-> in respect <3313-meros-> of an holyday <1859-heorte->, or <2228-e-> of the new <3561-noumenia-> moon <3561-noumenia->, or <2228-e-> of the sabbath <4521-sabbaton-> [days]:

:17  Which <3739-hos-> are a shadow <4639-skia-> of things to come <3195-mello->; but the body <4983-soma-> [is] of Christ <5547-Christos->.

:18  Let no <3367-medeis-> man <3367-medeis-> beguile <2603-katabrabeuo-> you of your reward <2603-katabrabeuo-> in a voluntary <2309-thelo-> humility <5012-tapeinophrosune-> and worshipping <2356-threskeia-> of angels <0032-aggelos->, intruding <1687-embateuo-> into those things which <3739-hos-> he hath not seen <3708-horao->, vainly <1500-eike-> puffed <5448-phusioo-> up by his fleshly mind <3563-nous->,

:20  Wherefore <3767-oun-> if <1487-ei-> ye be dead <0599-apothnesko-> with Christ <5547-Christos-> from the rudiments <4747-stoicheion-> of the world <2889-kosmos->, why <5101-tis->, as though living <2198-zao-> in the world <2889-kosmos->, are ye subject <1379-dogmatizo-> to ordinances <1379-dogmatizo->,

:21  (Touch <0680-haptomai-> not; taste <1089-geuomai-> not; handle <2345-thiggano-> not;

:22  Which <3739-hos-> all <3956-pas-> are to perish <5356-phthora-> with the using <0671-apochresis->;) after <2596-kata-> the commandments <1778-entalma-> and doctrines <1319-didaskalia-> of men <0444-anthropos->?

:23  Which <3748-hostis-> things have <2192-echo-> indeed <3303-men-> a shew <3056-logos-> of wisdom <4678-sophia-> in will <1479-ethelothreskeia-> worship <1479-ethelothreskeia->, and humility <5012-tapeinophrosune->, and neglecting <0857-apheidia-> of the body <4983-soma->; not in any <5100-tis-> honour <5092-time-> to the satisfying <4140-plesmone-> of the flesh <4561-sarx->.

:Colossians   3

:1. If <1487-ei-> ye then <3767-oun-> be risen <4891-sunegeiro-> with Christ <5547-Christos->, seek <2212-zeteo-> those <3588-ho-> things which are above <0507-ano->, where <3757-hou-> Christ <5547-Christos-> sitteth <2521-kathemai-> on <1722-en-> the right <1188-dexios-> hand of God <2316-theos->.

:2  Set <5426-phroneo-> your affection <5426-phroneo-> on things above <0507-ano->, not on things on <1909-epi-> the earth <1093-ge->.

:3  For ye are dead <0599-apothnesko->, and your <5216-humon-> life <2222-zoe-> is hid <2928-krupto-> with Christ <5547-Christos-> in God <2316-theos->.

:4  When <3752-hotan-> Christ <5547-Christos->, [who is] our life <2222-zoe->, shall appear <5316-phaino->, then <5119-tote-> shall ye also <2532-kai-> appear <5316-phaino-> with him in glory <1391-doxa->.

:5. Mortify <3499-nekroo-> therefore <3767-oun-> your <5216-humon-> members <3196-melos-> which <3588-ho-> are upon the earth <1093-ge->; fornication <4202-porneia->, uncleanness <0167-akatharsia->, inordinate <3806-pathos-> affection <3806-pathos->, evil <2556-kakos-> concupiscence <1939-epithumia->, and covetousness <4124-pleonexia->, which <3748-hostis-> is idolatry <1495-eidololatreia->:

:6  For which <3739-hos-> things' sake the wrath <3709-orge-> of God <2316-theos-> cometh <2064-erchomai-> on <1909-epi-> the children <5207-huios-> of disobedience <0543-apeitheia->:

:7  In the which <3739-hos-> ye also <2532-kai-> walked <4043-peripateo-> some <4218-pote-> time <4218-pote->, when <3753-hote-> ye lived <2198-zao-> in them.

But now <3570-nuni-> ye also <2532-kai-> put <0659-apotithemi-> off <0659-apotithemi-> all <3956-pas-> these <3588-ho->; anger <3709-orge->, wrath <2372-thumos->, malice <2549-kakia->, blasphemy <0988-blasphemia->, filthy <0148-aischrologia-> communication <0148-aischrologia-> out of your <5216-humon-> mouth <4750-stoma->.

:9  Lie <5574-pseudomai-> not one <0240-allelon-> to another <0240-allelon->, seeing that ye have put <0554-apekduomai-> off <0554-apekduomai-> the old <3820-palaios-> man <0444-anthropos-> with his deeds <4234-praxis->;

:10  And have put <1746-enduo-> on <1746-enduo-> the new <3501-neos-> [man], which <3588-ho-> is renewed <0341-anakainoo-> in knowledge <1922-epignosis-> after <2596-kata-> the image <1504-eikon-> of him that created <2936-ktizo-> him:

:11  Where <3699-hopou-> there is neither <3756-ou-> Greek <1672-Hellen-> nor <2532-kai-> Jew <2453-Ioudaios->, circumcision <4061-peritome-> nor <2532-kai-> uncircumcision <0203-akrobustia->, Barbarian <0915-barbaros->, Scythian <4658-Skuthes->, bond <1401-doulos-> [nor] free <1658-eleutheros->: but Christ <5547-Christos-> [is] all <3956-pas->, and in all <3956-pas->.

:12. Put <1746-enduo-> on <1746-enduo-> therefore <3767-oun->, as the elect <1588-eklektos-> of God <2316-theos->, holy <0040-hagios-> and beloved <0025-agapao->, bowels <4698-splagchnon-> of mercies <3628-oiktirmos->, kindness <5544-chrestotes->, humbleness <5012-tapeinophrosune-> of mind, meekness <4236-praiotes->, longsuffering <3115-makrothumia->;

:13  Forbearing <0430-anechomai-> one <0240-allelon-> another <0240-allelon->, and forgiving <5483-charizomai-> one <1438-heautou-> another <1438-heautou->, if <1437-ean-> any <5100-tis-> man have <2192-echo-> a quarrel <3437-momphe-> against <4314-pros-> any <5100-tis->: even <2532-kai-> as Christ <5547-Christos-> forgave <5483-charizomai-> you, so <3779-houto-> also <2532-kai-> [do] ye.

:14  And above <1909-epi-> all <3956-pas-> these <5125-toutois-> things [put on] charity <0026-agape->, which <3748-hostis-> is the bond <4886-sundesmos-> of perfectness <5047-teleiotes->.

:15  And let the peace <1515-eirene-> of God <2316-theos-> rule <1018-brabeuo-> in your <5216-humon-> hearts <2588-kardia->, to the which <3739-hos-> also <2532-kai-> ye are called <2564-kaleo-> in one <1520-heis-> body <4983-soma->; and be ye thankful <2170-eucharistos->.

:16  Let the word <3056-logos-> of Christ <5547-Christos-> dwell <1774-enoikeo-> in you richly <4146-plousios-> in all <3956-pas-> wisdom <4678-sophia->; teaching <1321-didasko-> and admonishing <3560-noutheteo-> one <1438-heautou-> another <1438-heautou-> in psalms <5568-psalmos-> and hymns <5215-humnos-> and spiritual <4152-pneumatikos-> songs <5603-oide->, singing <0103-aido-> with grace <5485-charis-> in your <5216-humon-> hearts <2588-kardia-> to the Lord <2962-kurios->.

:17  And whatsoever <5100-tis-> ye do <4160-poieo-> in word <3056-logos-> or <2228-e-> deed <2041-ergon->, [do <4160-poieo->] all <3956-pas-> in the name <3686-onoma-> of the Lord <2962-kurios-> Jesus <2424-Iesous->, giving thanks <2168-eucharisteo-> to God <2316-theos-> and the Father <3962-pater-> by him.

:18. Wives <1135-gune->, submit <5293-hupotasso-> yourselves unto your <2398-idios-> own <2398-idios-> husbands <0435-aner->, as it is fit <0433-aneko-> in the Lord <2962-kurios->.

:19  Husbands <0435-aner->, love <0025-agapao-> [your <3588-ho->] wives <1135-gune->, and be not bitter <4087-pikraino-> against <4314-pros-> them.

:20  Children <5043-teknon->, obey <5219-hupakouo-> [your <3588-ho->] parents <1118-goneus-> in all <3956-pas-> things: for this <5124-touto-> is well <2101-euarestos-> pleasing <2101-euarestos-> unto the Lord <2962-kurios->.

:21  Fathers <3962-pater->, provoke <2042-erethizo-> not your <5216-humon-> children <5043-teknon-> [to anger], lest <3361-me-> they be discouraged <0120-athumeo->.

:22  Servants <1401-doulos->, obey <5219-hupakouo-> in all <3956-pas-> things [your <3588-ho->] masters <2962-kurios-> according <2596-kata-> to the flesh <4561-sarx->; not with eyeservice <3787-ophthalmodouleia->, as menpleasers <0441-anthropareskos->; but in singleness <0572-haplotes-> of heart <2588-kardia->, fearing <5399-phobeo-> God <2316-theos->:

:23  And whatsoever <1437-ean-> ye do <4160-poieo->, do <2038-ergazomai-> [it] heartily <5590-psuche->, as to the Lord <2962-kurios->, and not unto men <0444-anthropos->;

:24  Knowing <1492-eido-> that of the Lord <2962-kurios-> ye shall receive <0618-apolambano-> the reward <0469-antapodosis-> of the inheritance <2817-kleronomia->: for ye serve <1398-douleuo-> the Lord <2962-kurios-> Christ <5547-Christos->.
