:4 No <3762-oudeis-> man <3762-oudeis-> that warreth <4754-strateuomai-> entangleth <1707-empleko-> himself with the affairs <4230-pragmateia-> of [this] life <0979-bios->; that he may please <0700-aresko-> him who hath chosen <4758-stratologeo-> him to be a soldier <4758-stratologeo->.

:7 Consider <3539-noieo-> what <3739-hos-> I say <3004-lego->; and the Lord <2962-kurios-> give <1325-didomi-> thee understanding <4907-sunesis-> in all <3956-pas-> things.

:8. Remember <3421-mnemoneuo-> that Jesus <2424-Iesous-> Christ <5547-Christos-> of the seed <4690-sperma-> of David <1138-Dabid-> was raised <1453-egeiro-> from the dead <3498-nekros-> according <2596-kata-> to my gospel <2098-euaggelion->:

:9 Wherein <3757-hou-> I suffer <2553-kakopatheo-> trouble <2553-kakopatheo->, as an evil <2557-kakourgos-> doer <2557-kakourgos->, [even] unto bonds <1199-desmon->; but the word <3056-logos-> of God <2316-theos-> is not bound <1210-deo->.

:10 Therefore I endure <5278-hupomeno-> all <3956-pas-> things for the elect's <1588-eklektos-> sakes, that they may also <2532-kai-> obtain <5177-tugchano-> the salvation <4991-soteria-> which <3588-ho-> is in Christ <5547-Christos-> Jesus <2424-Iesous-> with eternal <0166-aionios-> glory <1391-doxa->.

:12 If <1487-ei-> we suffer <5278-hupomeno->, we shall also <2532-kai-> reign <4821-sumbasileuo-> with [him]: if <1487-ei-> we deny <0720-arneomai-> [him], he also <2548-kakeinos-> will deny <0720-arneomai-> us:

:13 If <1487-ei-> we believe <0569-apisteo-> not, [yet] he abideth <3306-meno-> faithful <4103-pistos->: he cannot <1410-dunamai-> deny <0720-arneomai-> himself <1438-heautou->.

:14. Of these <5023-tauta-> things put <5279-hupomimnesko-> [them] in remembrance <5279-hupomimnesko->, charging <1263-diamarturomai-> [them] before <1799-enopion-> the Lord <2962-kurios-> that they strive <3054-logomacheo-> not about words <3054-logomacheo-> to no <3762-oudeis-> profit <5539-chresimos->, [but] to the subverting <2692-katastrophe-> of the hearers <0191-akouo->.

:15 Study <4704-spoudazo-> to shew <3936-paristemi-> thyself <4572-seautou-> approved <1384-dokimos-> unto God <2316-theos->, a workman <2040-ergates-> that needeth <0422-anepaischuntos-> not to be ashamed <0422-anepaischuntos->, rightly dividing <3718-orthotomeo-> the word <3056-logos-> of truth <0225-aletheia->.

:16 But shun <4026-periistemi-> profane <0952-bebelos-> [and] vain <2757-kenophonia-> babblings <2757-kenophonia->: for they will increase <4298-prokopto-> unto more <4119-pleion-> ungodliness <0763-asebeia->.

:17 And their word <3056-logos-> will eat <2192-echo-> as doth a canker <1044-gaggraina->: of whom <3739-hos-> is Hymenaeus <5211-Humenaios-> and Philetus <5372-Philetos->;

:18 Who <3748-hostis-> concerning <4012-peri-> the truth <0225-aletheia-> have erred <0795-astocheo->, saying <3004-lego-> that the resurrection <0386-anastasis-> is past <1096-ginomai-> already <2235-ede->; and overthrow <0397-anatrepho-> the faith <4102-pistis-> of some <5100-tis->.

:19. Nevertheless <3305-mentoi-> the foundation <2310-themelios-> of God <2316-theos-> standeth <2476-histemi-> sure <4731-stereos->, having <2192-echo-> this <5026-taute-> seal <4973-sphragis->, The Lord <2962-kurios-> knoweth <1097-ginosko-> them that are his. And, Let every <3956-pas-> one that nameth <3687-onomazo-> the name <3686-onoma-> of Christ <5547-Christos-> depart <0868-aphistemi-> from iniquity <0093-adikia->.

:20 But in a great <3173-megas-> house <3614-oikia-> there are not only <3440-monon-> vessels <4632-skeuos-> of gold <5552-chruseos-> and of silver <0693-argureos->, but also <2532-kai-> of wood <3585-xulinos-> and of earth <3749-ostrakinos->; and some <3588-ho-> to honour <5092-time->, and some <3588-ho-> to dishonour <0819-atimia->.

:21 If <1437-ean-> a man <5100-tis-> therefore <3767-oun-> purge <1571-ekkathairo-> himself <1438-heautou-> from these <5130-touton->, he shall be a vessel <4632-skeuos-> unto honour <5092-time->, sanctified <0037-hagiazo->, and meet <2173-euchrestos-> for the master's <1203-despotes-> use, [and] prepared <2090-hetoimazo-> unto every <3956-pas-> good <0018-agathos-> work <2041-ergon->.

:22. Flee <5343-pheugo-> also <1161-de-> youthful <3512-neoterikos-> lusts <1939-epithumia->: but follow <1377-dioko-> righteousness <1343-dikaiosune->, faith <4102-pistis->, charity <0026-agape->, peace <1515-eirene->, with them that call <1941-epikaleomai-> on <1941-epikaleomai-> the Lord <2962-kurios-> out of a pure <2513-katharos-> heart <2588-kardia->.

:23 But foolish <3474-moros-> and unlearned <0521-apaideutos-> questions <2214-zetesis-> avoid <3868-paraiteomai->, knowing <1492-eido-> that they do gender <1080-gennao-> strifes <3163-mache->.

:24 And the servant <1401-doulos-> of the Lord <2962-kurios-> must <1163-dei-> not strive <3164-machomai->; but be gentle <2261-epios-> unto all <3956-pas-> [men], apt <1317-didaktikos-> to teach <1317-didaktikos->, patient <0420-anexikakos->,

:25 In meekness <4236-praiotes-> instructing <3811-paideuo-> those <3588-ho-> that oppose <0475-antidiatithemai-> themselves; if <3379-mepote-> God <2316-theos-> peradventure <3379-mepote-> will give <1325-didomi-> them repentance <3341-metanoia-> to the acknowledging <1922-epignosis-> of the truth <0225-aletheia->;

:26 And [that] they may recover <0366-ananepho-> themselves out of the snare <3803-pagis-> of the devil <1228-diabolos->, who are taken <2221-zogreo-> captive <2221-zogreo-> by him at <1519-eis-> his will <2307-thelema->.

:2Timothy 3

:2 For men <0444-anthropos-> shall be lovers <5367-philautos-> of their own selves <5367-philautos->, covetous <5366-philarguros->, boasters <0213-alazon->, proud <5244-huperephanos->, blasphemers <0989-blasphemos->, disobedient <0545-apeithes-> to parents <1118-goneus->, unthankful <0884-acharistos->, unholy <0462-anosios->,

:4 Traitors <4273-prodotes->, heady <4312-propetes->, highminded <5187-tuphoo->, lovers <5369-philedonos-> of pleasures <5569-pseudadelphos-> more <3123-mallon-> than <2228-e-> lovers <5377-philotheos-> of God <5377-philotheos->;

:5 Having <2192-echo-> a form <3446-morphosis-> of godliness <2150-eusebeia->, but denying <0720-arneomai-> the power <1411-dunamis-> thereof <0846-autos->: from such <5128-toutous-> turn <0665-apotrepo-> away <0665-apotrepo->.

:8 Now <1161-de-> as Jannes <2389-Iannes-> and Jambres <2387-Iambres-> withstood <0436-anthistemi-> Moses <3475-Moseus->, so <3779-houto-> do these <3778-houtos-> also <2532-kai-> resist <0436-anthistemi-> the truth <0225-aletheia->: men <0444-anthropos-> of corrupt <2704-katphtheiro-> minds <3563-nous->, reprobate <0096-adokimos-> concerning <4012-peri-> the faith <4102-pistis->.

:9 But they shall proceed <4298-prokopto-> no <3756-ou-> further <4208-porrhotero->: for their folly <0454-anoia-> shall be manifest <1552-ekdelos-> unto all <3956-pas-> [men], as theirs <1565-ekeinos-> also <2532-kai-> was.

:11 Persecutions <1375-diogmos->, afflictions <3804-pathema->, which <3634-hoios-> came <1096-ginomai-> unto me at <1722-en-> Antioch <0490-Antiocheia->, at <1722-en-> Iconium <2430-Ikonion->, at <1722-en-> Lystra <3082-Lustra->; what <3634-hoios-> persecutions <1375-diogmos-> I endured <5297-hupophero->: but out of [them] all <3956-pas-> the Lord <2962-kurios-> delivered <4506-rhoumai-> me.

:12 Yea <1161-de->, and all <3956-pas-> that will <2309-thelo-> live <2198-zao-> godly <2153-eusebos-> in Christ <5547-Christos-> Jesus <2424-Iesous-> shall suffer <1377-dioko-> persecution <1377-dioko->.

:13 But evil <4190-poneros-> men <0444-anthropos-> and seducers <1114-goes-> shall wax <4298-prokopto-> worse <5501-cheiron-> and worse <5501-cheiron->, deceiving <4105-planao->, and being deceived <4105-planao->.

:14 But continue <3306-meno-> thou in the things which <3739-hos-> thou hast learned <3129-manthano-> and hast been assured <4104-pistoo-> of, knowing <1492-eido-> of whom <5101-tis-> thou hast learned <3129-manthano-> [them];

:15 And that from a child <1025-brephos-> thou hast known <1492-eido-> the holy <2413-hieros-> scriptures <1121-gramma->, which <3588-ho-> are able <1410-dunamai-> to make <4679-sophizo-> thee wise <4679-sophizo-> unto salvation <4991-soteria-> through <1223-dia-> faith <4102-pistis-> which <3588-ho-> is in Christ <5547-Christos-> Jesus <2424-Iesous->.

:16 All <3956-pas-> scripture <1124-graphe-> [is] given by inspiration <2315-theopneustos-> of God <2315-theopneustos->, and [is] profitable <5624-ophelimos-> for doctrine <1319-didaskalia->, for reproof <1650-elegchos->, for correction <1882-epanorthosis->, for instruction <3809-paideia-> in righteousness <1343-dikaiosune->:

:17 That the man <0444-anthropos-> of God <2316-theos-> may be perfect <0739-artios->, throughly <1822-exartizo-> furnished <1822-exartizo-> unto all <3956-pas-> good <0018-agathos-> works <2041-ergon->.

:2Timothy 4

:1. I charge <1263-diamarturomai-> [thee] therefore <3767-oun-> before <1799-enopion-> God <2316-theos->, and the Lord <2962-kurios-> Jesus <2424-Iesous-> Christ <5547-Christos->, who <3588-ho-> shall judge <2919-krino-> the quick <2198-zao-> and the dead <3498-nekros-> at <2596-kata-> his appearing <2015-epiphaneia-> and his kingdom <0932-basileia->;

:2 Preach <2784-kerusso-> the word <3056-logos->; be instant <2186-ephistemi-> in season <2121-eukairos->, out of season <0171-akairos->; reprove <1651-elegcho->, rebuke <2008-epitimao->, exhort <3870-parakaleo-> with all <3956-pas-> longsuffering and doctrine <1322-didache->.

:3 For the time <2540-kairos-> will come <1511-einai-> when <3753-hote-> they will not endure <0430-anechomai-> sound <5198-hugiaino-> doctrine <1319-didaskalia->; but after <2596-kata-> their own <2398-idios-> lusts <1939-epithumia-> shall they heap <2002-episoreuo-> to themselves <1438-heautou-> teachers <1320-didaskalos->, having itching <2833-knetho-> ears <0189-akoe->;

:4 And they shall turn <0654-apostrepho-> away <0654-apostrepho-> [their] ears <0189-akoe-> from the truth <0225-aletheia->, and shall be turned <0654-apostrepho-> unto fables <3454-muthos->.

:5 But watch <3525-nepho-> thou in all <3956-pas-> things, endure <2553-kakopatheo-> afflictions <2553-kakopatheo->, do <4160-poieo-> the work <2041-ergon-> of an evangelist <2099-euaggelistes->, make <4135-plerophoreo-> full <4135-plerophoreo-> proof <4135-plerophoreo-> of thy ministry <1248-diakonia->.

:6 For I am now <2236-hedista-> ready <4689-spendo-> to be offered <4689-spendo->, and the time <2540-kairos-> of my departure <0359-analusis-> is at <2186-ephistemi-> hand <2186-ephistemi->.

:7 I have fought <0075-agonizomai-> a good <2570-kalos-> fight <0073-agon->, I have finished <5055-teleo-> [my] course <1408-dromos->, I have kept <5083-tereo-> the faith <4102-pistis->:

:11 Only <3441-monos-> Luke <3065-Loukas-> is with me. Take <0353-analambano-> Mark <3138-Markos->, and bring <0071-ago-> him with thee: for he is profitable <2173-euchrestos-> to me for the ministry <1248-diakonia->.

:12 And Tychicus <5190-Tuchikos-> have I sent <0649-apostello-> to Ephesus <2181-Ephesos->.
